Elegant Presence and Power
Firstly, the elegance of the all new Vanquish is striking. Its sleek lines and sophisticated proportions exude luxury and class. The new front mid-mounted 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine delivers relentless power, pushing the rear wheels with ease. With a top speed of 214mph, the Vanquish asserts itself as a formidable competitor in the luxury sports car market.
In my view, the Vanquish stands as a strong rival to the Ferrari 12-Cilindri. Both cars offer exceptional performance and a distinctive design. However, while Ferrari includes an unflattering black section on its models, the Vanquish also has a similar feature. This black element appears at the rear, somewhat disrupting the otherwise smooth aesthetics.
Design Critique and Suggestions
Speaking of the rear, I believe the Vanquish could benefit from two design tweaks. Firstly, the current Victor-inspired rear lights, though functional, don’t fully capture the car’s potential for a more striking and recognisable appearance on the road. Inspired by the Vantage, I think a light bar running across the tail would enhance the Vanquish’s presence and reinforce its identity as an Aston Martin. Such a feature could elevate the overall look, making it more memorable and aligned with the brand’s prestigious image.
Additionally, I think the carbon piece at the rear end could have a body-colour paint option (see my tweaks below). The current black carbon piece takes away from the elegance, in my opinion, much like the black front nose on the 12-Cilindri.
Conclusion
Overall, the Aston Martin Vanquish impresses with its combination of elegance and raw power. It competes fiercely with the Ferrari 12-Cilindri, showcasing a high level of sophistication and performance. Despite minor design concerns, particularly with the rear elements, the Vanquish stands as a testament to Aston Martin’s commitment to excellence. I look forward to seeing how it evolves and hope that the design team allow
